Date: Sun, 14 September 2008 to Mon, 15 September 2008
Venue: Imperial College London, Dept of Chemical Engineering, London, UK
Organised by: Polymer Physics Group of the Institute of Physics
Sponsored by:Imperial College London, ISIS UK, Institut Laue-Langevin (France), Neutron Scattering & Materials and Characterisation Groups of the IOP

Introduction

Time and Momentum Transfer against Reflectivity,

Neutron scattering has contributed dramatically to our understanding of polymers for over three decades. Neutrons have provided critical insight into the conformation of macromolecules in melts and solutions, validated reptation mechanisms and dynamics, revealed polymer mixture interactions and elucidated interfacial phenomena. This meeting reviews recent advances in polymer science made possible by neutron scattering and discusses the future of “Polymers and Neutron Scattering” as instrumentation continually improves.

The meeting is dedicated to Professor Dame Julia Higgins and will celebrate her numerous contributions to polymer science & neutron scattering in the UK and abroad.
