Collaboration with other physical societies

The IOP has collaborative agreements with over 30 physical societies around the globe, a network which still continues to expand.

Members of many of these companion or partner societies are able to attend IOP meetings at reduced rates and have full access to the John Barton Centre at the Institute’s headquarters in London on the same terms as IOP members. In return, IOP members can attend meetings of partner societies at their members' rates. Other benefits such as access to Physics World and membership to the IOP are also available to some partner societies, depending on the mutual agreement between the IOP and individual societies.
